TIFF Inspired Cocktails
It's 5 o'clock somewhere.
Some days call for a simple vodka-soda, and other days call for something with a little more pizzaz. Toronto during TIFF is the perfect time to throw a handful of pizzaz into everything you do.
I'm always amazed at the variety of cocktails people come up with; who knew you could add egg-whites to create a layer of froth, or that chamomile-infused tea syrup was a thing?
#1 - Festival '76
"In 1976 the Toronto International Film Festival was launched at the Windsor Arms Hotel in the heart of Yorkville... This cocktail celebrates the elegance of TIFF and the tradition of afternoon tea at the Windsor Arms."
- St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur

- Moet Champagne
#2 - Pyschopaths on Parade
One of the films at this year's festival is "Legend" starring Tom Hardy.
"The Kray Twins were celebrities and gangsters in East London during the 1950s and 60s. This spirit forward cocktail was inspired by their Cockney roots and their notorious reputations for enjoying a good party and creating a criminal stronghold over London"
- Apricot Liqueur
- Lime Juice

- Hopped Grapefruit Bitters
#3 - Ares Project
Matt Damon stars in The Martian, where he has to find a way to grow fresh food on an inhabitable planet so this cocktail contains plenty of fresh ingredients!

#4 - The Boss
Johnny Depp stars in The Mass where he plays "Whitey" Bulger, an Irish immigrant living in South Boston, one of America's most wanted individuals.
