If you follow me on social media, you may have seen that I’ve been talking about “Healthy Is Hot” quite a lot and have been pushing to the @healthyishott social page in addition to the website www.healthyishott.com. This is a project that is near & dear to my heart and it gives me goosebumps thinking that I get to move forward with this project and hopefully impact lives in a positive way all around the world as a result. Having an idea and hustling to make it happen are two very different things. The ideas I have for HIH are grand, elaborate, time-consuming and require a large sum of money up front. In reality, I have zero budget for HIH and limited free-time because of my position at Etalk, which has made me realize that in order to do this, I need to start small, stay consistent and really think about what the voice of HIH is. If I can figure out the voice, the brand, the meaning behind it, then we have a solid foundation on which to grow an empire. I know, I used the word “empire”.
Ain’t nothing wrong with dreaming big and reaching for the stars.
Sorry not sorry.
Creating the site, working with amazing girls who are volunteering their time to write monthly articles and managing a social media presence on Instagram have been the initial stages of launch but now it’s time to bring the big guns out and do something that will set us apart: a podcast. The thing is, there are many health-focused/fitness/lifestyle blogs out there, there are a ton right here in Canada but what there is a lack of in the market place is a heavy dose of sassy, intelligent conversations between women talking about health, fitness, mental health, and so forth. That is where the podcast comes in. That is where we will excel. It won’t be easy, it won’t be perfect right from the get-go, but it will be our way of reaching girls across the country, and hopefully the world, with our message. While I sort out the details of where to record, how to squeeze it in to my already insane schedule and reaching out to bad-ass babes to come on as a guests; I’ve been brainstorming content ideas. As much as I want to divulge it all right here, right now, I need to keep a few surprises up my sleeve for you all :).
Stay tuned and thank YOU for your endless support.
